The 2023 Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) is a global trade show and conference for Egypt’s oil and gas sector. Industry executives and specialists can network, exchange ideas, and display the most recent innovations in this field’s goods and services at the event.
The conference addresses a broad range of subjects, including upstream, middle, and downstream activities as well as the most recent advancements in oil and gas exploration, production, refining, transportation, and distribution. This week is the sixth edition’s date. It takes place in Cairo’s Egypt International Exhibitions Center (EIEC) from February 13–15. Tarek El-Molla, Egypt’s minister of petroleum and natural resources, serves as its host.
Leaders, influencers, and providers gathered in Cairo for EGYPS
El-Molla claimed that in record time, EGYPS 2023 has developed into a significant platform for leaders, influencers, and service providers in the oil and gas industry.
El-attendance Sisi’s at the opening of this significant event, he continued, contributed to the conference’s success.
El-Molla, a number of ministries, and important state officials attended the EGYPS’s inauguration along with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
El-Molla noted during the conference’s inaugural session that the event comes at a critical time in view of the ongoing global difficulties.
He emphasized that Egypt was eager to seize these chances to assist the domestic economy.
He stressed that regional cooperation resulted in an increase in gas exports. The export is from Egypt and other East Mediterranean nations to Europe. El-Molla added that the most recent challenges reflected the vision of the Egyptian leadership. It is visible through the creation of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum.
Talks focus: Promoting the development of the petroleum and LNG
Along with a number of energy ministers, government representatives, senior EU officials, secretaries of significant international energy organizations, and energy industry tycoons, CEOs from the oil and natural gas industries from across the world are attending the event.
The discussion will center on strategies for fostering the growth of the oil and gas industries.
A brief documentary film on the world’s unheard-of fluctuations in 2022 and how securing energy resources became a pressing necessity opened EGYPS 2023.
The movie made reference to Egypt’s plans to establish significant development projects and upgrade its infrastructure. Also it’ll host the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).
During COP27’s Decarbonisation Day, Egypt revealed its petroleum sector policy, and the movie continued.
In light of the current geopolitical situation, challenges related to inflation and stagnation, and the advancement of the current generation of operational systems in the energy, natural gas, and petroleum sectors, the film emphasized that EGYPS 2023 represents a great opportunity to stand on means of overcoming major international economic challenges.
Egypt as a major energy hub
In his remarks, Christopher Hudson, president of DMG Events and the event’s organizer, emphasized the goal of the exhibition. It is to highlight Egypt’s potential as a key energy hub and strategic partner.
Hudson praised El-Sisi for his support of the occasion, and they welcomed attendees of such a global event.
He also expressed his gratitude to El-Molla for supporting the occasion, a significant worldwide platform.
Within the next three days, 30,000 visitors from 70 different countries are anticipated at the event. There are more than 500 exhibitors. They will engage in conversation and form connections at the local, regional, and global levels.
