EnergyHub’s utility customers, who already have accessibility to the country’s largest network of partners, would gain an advantage with the integration’s increased scale and peak-shaving capabilities for their demand response programs, Bakersfield.com reports.
Customers using Amazon Smart Thermostats can engage in energy demand response programs to assist utilities lower peak load and saving money. Resideo, a device partner of EnergyHub, makes the new smart technology thermostat. The device is ENERGY STAR® certified and works with Alexa, Amazon’s voice service.
The Amazon Smart Thermostat is the latest smart technology home device that pairs with Alexa to provide consumers with an easy method to maintain a pleasant and energy-efficient home. Customers may find qualified rebates from energy suppliers straight on Amazon’s product page for the device and use the Alexa app to register their thermostat in applicable Demand Response programs.
“The addition of the Amazon Smart Thermostat to EnergyHub’s BYOT (Bring Your Own Thermostat) Program is a natural step in our commitment to offering our utility clients turnkey access to the nation’s largest and most diverse ecosystem of device partners.
